Delivery and security

Static pages are delivered through Cloudflare Pages Free, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Requests involve processing IP addresses, requested addresses, time, browser and connection data to deliver content and prevent malicious access. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our interest in an accessible, secure website. Technical connection data is necessary to retrieve the pages.

Cloudflare may process data outside the EU or EEA. Its Data Processing Addendum, incorporated into its contractual terms, addresses processing on behalf of customers and international transfers, including EU standard contractual clauses for the transfers covered there. Cloudflare also describes its own processing of technical network data in its privacy policy. Processing exclusively within Europe is not promised.

We do not operate an additional access-log database. Cloudflare describes purpose-based retention criteria, including operational and security needs and legal obligations. No fixed general deletion period is claimed here for this Pages delivery; further information is available in the provider notices linked below.

Website functions and contact

The website uses no analytics, advertising trackers, embedded project pages or contact forms. Images and fonts are served by the same website. The website code sets no cookies and uses no local storage. Motion preferences travel as URL parameters during navigation and language changes; there is no automatic country detection.

For email enquiries we process the sender address, message and any contact details supplied to respond. Email is provided by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 6(1)(b) may apply to specific pre-contractual requests. Providing details is voluntary; we need a reachable address to reply. Enquiries are deleted when resolved unless legal retention duties or necessary evidence require keeping them. No blanket fixed email retention period is specified.

STRATO also provides domain DNS and redirects each apex domain to its own www version. A direct request to an apex domain involves technical connection data processed by STRATO for the redirect and its security, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. STRATO states a maximum of seven days for IP addresses in website security logs; this is not presented as a retention period for Cloudflare data or email contents.

Project links lead to separate websites. Their privacy notices apply when you open them; this website does not embed their contents.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the address above. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you usually live; BayLDA is a contact point for private-sector organisations in Bavaria.
